Bernina Harvest Retreat

I treated myself to a weekend of sewing. The retreat started Friday at 9:00am to 10:00pm and then Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Each class was 3 hours long with a two hour break in between classes for lunch and dinner. You could sign up for all 5 classes or just some of them. I decided to take Friday off work and sign up for all 5 classes. Here are some of the pictures of the projects I signed up for. Of course I'm not done with mine yet but I got a good start on all of them.

This is the Family tree wall hanging. This is the finished one. I was able to cut out all of the boards and I learned how to miter the corners to give it that picture frame look.

This is the Fall table runner I signed up for. I was able to get the whole base of the quilt sewed and the pumpkins and sunflowers cut out and ready to applique on.

This is a Christmas countdown. This picture is actually from the magazine the pattern comes from. I got all number bases sewn and the numbers ironed on and ready blanket stitch around. I got the Santa square sewn but no Santa yet.

This is a flower baby quilt. I don't know of anyone in the near future having a baby girl to give this quilt to but I loved the flower. I signed up for the class so I would have the pattern and decided to changed my flower and make a table runner.

This is my flower creation. I did a black background with a red flower and added a brown flower pot. I think I'm going to do two flowers in mirror image end to end with a boarder. Then it will be a long table runner.

This was my last project. It is a seasonal calendar with a lot of Velcro. You can of course change the numbers for each month and the month tittle and the added decorations. The design CD pack comes with all the month titles and plenty of decorations for each month.

You are so talented! I wish I had the talent and creativity you have in your little finger! I have none. I have to buy them already done. I would LOVE to be able to sew and do neat projects like the ones you did! FUN!!
