Mother's Day 2012

This Mother's Day I was surprised with great gifts from my children.
Cassie and Jason worked on cleaning the house.
Jason and Riley worked on the yard, weeding and mowing the lawn.

Then when I thought it couldn't get any better Riley surprised me with the great picture.
It is a beautiful canvas piece of art.
We have the prefect place for it in my living room.

San Rafael Swell 4x4 trail

Friday May 11th after work we drove out to the San Rafael Swell area.
All of our camping buddings who came out with us.
After setting up camp in the dark it is fun to wake up Saturday morning and see the sights.

No questions how the trail got its name.

Dutchman's Arch - what a great way to end our trip with this site.
Here is a picture of the path we drive on. Scott track it with his GPS.
We always have such a great time on our rides.

Working at the Land

Saturday April 28th we spent the day working at our Land.
We are working on putting a fence around the perimeter of our property and a pen for goats in.
We are hoping to start raising some goats up there to sell.
We are mainly using the the goat opportunity for a tax write off but it will be fun too.
It always amazes me no matter how hard the work is up there is feels so rewarding and fun.
I love it up there so much.

Payson 5k with the Strong's

April 21,2012 Payson City sponsors a "Pay it Forward" 5k/1mile . They only charge a dollar per entry.
The Strong Family thought it would be fun to do it together. Everyone was there but Grandpa Strong.
He had to spend the day in SLC.
Most of the family just did the 1 mile walk/run but I was so proud of all of them.
In 2011 this was the first 5k I had ever participated in. I finished that one in 55 minutes and barely ran 2 or 3 blocks at the beginning and 2 blocks at the end.
This year I finish in 37.36 minutes. I ran the whole first mile and most of the rest.
It is great to see the progress I have made.

Trip to Vegas for Cars

April 13th - 15th we went to Las Vegas to pick up three cars for Zac's new dealership he is doing on the side.
He planned so picking up the cars was the same weekend as the Mopar Show.
We had a great time there as well. The weather was a little chilly but the rain held for us.
We were able to watch the drags too.
Zac's brother-in-law Chase drove the white Subaru home.
Scott and I drove the Mini Cooper home.
Zac and Riley towed the other Subaru home with the diesel.

Riley and Zac cruising the strip with the top down in the Mini Cooper.
It was a fun business and pleasure weekend trip.

Firewood for the Land

The storm in 2010 at Scott's parents house that broke branches off there big pinetree.
They planted this pinetree 35 years ago when they moved into this house.
Unforturnitly it was too much for it to recover from and it died.
They were sad to let it go but they didn't want it to fall on the house.
We took most the wood up to our land for firewood.
I think some of these would make great stools around the property.

We really got a lot of good firewood for up there.
Now we just need winter again an have a great hot dog/marshmellow roasting party.

Happy Eastar!

Easter Egg Hunt just for Prestyn at Grandma Nelson's

We had fun coloring eggs the Saturday before Easter.

Makenna first Easter, What a cutie!!!
Come on Jason, you are never to old to color eggs.
 I love it.
Riley and Bubble enjoyed the lunch after we colored eggs.
 Cousins playing clue.

Easter Sunday we just stuck around home and made a Ham dinner.
It was nice and relaxing.
The week after Easter at Potluck we had the Strong Easter Egg hunt at Sara's house.

 Seeing what treasures they received.
Happy 2012 Easter!
