Riley's First Dance

Riley went to Homecoming for his first dance.
Riley went and ordered the corsage with his friend.
I think they did a really good job choosing it.

Natalia Ernst was Riley's date. Besides ten other couples they went with Natasha (her twin sister) and her date.

His boutonniere was really pretty too.
They went out to dinner at "Prestwich Farms" in Spanish Fork.
Then they went to the dance. Riley said it was really fun.
Afterward they went to one of the kids' house and had Rootbeer floats.

Labor Day Weekend 2009

We had a great time at our land Labor Day Weekend.
I love it up there this time of the year.
We saw a lot of groups of turkey's when we went on our ride.
We also saw deer and a Jack Rabbit.
It is always so peaceful and relaxing up there.
We love our Home Away from Home.

Family Fun!

My sister Yvonne went all out for her son's first birthday.
Prestyn turned one September 4th.
I love the "Big" cupcake.

He is such a grandma's boy....

Yeah! My Aunt Alice made me a blanket.

It is made out of that minky material that is soooooo soft.

Yvonne trying to let Prestyn know how good the frosting taste.
Oh but how he hated it on his hands.

Max Bo Taylor was baptized September 5th.
Afterward we went out to eat.
We all had a good time and enjoyed the food.

Loving Moment

Photobucket
I love this picture.
This is my Aunt Gerry and Uncle Daryl Sherman.
They have been married just over 65 years.
Aunt Gerry was one my Dad's big sisters. She is the second child out of the six children.
Dad was the baby of the family.

Remembering Dad

"Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow"
Dad would have loved the flowers, family and friends...........
Thanks to all who came and supported our family.

Three Weeks Ago

Riley got his 16th birthday present on Friday the 21st.
It is a Remington .308 Rifle.
So early Saturday morning Scott took him Coyote hunting.
They didn't see anything but had a good time.
Afterword they met us at the park for our combined birthday party.

This is a testament to how unpredictable life is.
This was the last time the whole Nelson family was together before Dad's passing.
He passed away just 4 short days later.
It was a great party. Everyone had a great time, especially Dad.
His favorite thing was getting his family together.

Unarra and Prestyn just kicking back and relaxing.

Food was Good
The kids enjoyed there presents.
Mom bought a really good ice cream cake.
We got a pinata for the party (just like we did for one of the Strong potlucks).
Good thing the pinata season is over - Riley broke our stick.
I'm so greatful for this party in the park. It will be a fond memory for all.
We love you and will miss you Dad.

First Day of School

August 19th, The first day of School
I'm really slacking in my old age..........
This year I only got a picture of Cassie on the first day of school.
I don't think my boys noticed or cared that I forgot about there picture.
I guess I might hear about it later.

Riley's 16th Birthday

Happy Birthday Riley!
Riley had a pretty regular run of the mill 16th birthday.
We went to the driver's licence division and got his learners permit.
We had potluck with the Strong's Tuesday the 18th.

He got some great gifts.

It was the last time the whole family was with Brooke before her mission.

Here is a great picture of all of the grand kids and Brookie.
Goodbye Brookie, we love you.
