Saturday Morning

I think Spring Fever and getting his Driver's License is starting to get Riley excited about working on his Samurai.
He earned enough money last summer working at the batting cages for new tires.
His dad is going to get the rims ready for those.
Riley is working on getting the interior taken out.
This summer he is going to save money to reupholster the seats.
He and his dad are going to spray "truck bed liner" in the interior like we did in ours.
It works great.

Look at that beautiful boy smiling because he thinks his mom is crazy for taking pictures.

Wednesday I received my bag from my swap partner Heidi Devlin.

It is really a nice big bag. I need to find out what pattern was used on this bag.
It will make a great overnight bag.
She also sent this beautiful pair of earrings. (the picture doesn't do them justice)
Here is a picture of the inside of the bag. It has nice pockets on both sides.

New Sunday Bag!

In light of receiving a new church calling I decided to make a new bag to hold me church documents.
I got this idea from a lady who works at Dave's Bernina I love the saying and the bag was really easy to make.

Ribbon Swap

In this swap I had two partners. The swap rules where: send 4 different ribbons a yard of each.
I decided to make a ribbon holder from a piece of card stock. I had fun decorating it too.
I actually sent 5 different kinds of ribbon because I wasn't sure if rickrack is considered "ribbon".

Back by Popular Demand!

I decided to post another picture of my apron I received for a few reasons.
  1. To show how much my son really loves me.
  2. Because a bought a new camera today for my cruise (can't wait - going in March) and wanted to try it out.
  3. Last but not least - because it was requested that my model show off the apron that I received from the swap.

IT'S HERE!!! IT'S HERE!!!

I got my apron today from my MommyHolly Amy Butler Apron Swap today.
I was so excited to see the little card in my mailbox that said I had something to pick up at the post office.
I'm still at work...............but I really wanted to get this on my blog so I used the pictures my swap partner took of the apron before she sent it to me.
What a lovely modeling job... :)
"Rosy - Posy" is her blog name and this beautiful Rosy-Posy must be her trade mark.
Anyway my beautiful apron came from Rosina who lives on a 40 acre farm (I'm jealous) in British Columbia Canada. She is a mother and like me has three children. It was here first swap making something for someone to wear. Her husband is a tugboat captain and she says she works seasonally for fisheries off loading sea urchins and sea cucumbers (weighing them and filling out logbooks for the fishermen for their harvest quotas). That sounds so interesting, fun and exciting to me since I have always be surround by so much land my whole life.
It was so fun receiving this surprise in the mail and meeting someone new, who I would have never had the opportunity to meet.
Can't wait until I do it again!!!

Amy Butler Bag Swap on it's way.

Today I sent my swap partner her new purse. This is made with Amy Butler Material using an Amy Butler pattern. I hope my partner enjoys her purse. I had a lot of fun making it.
This the first Amy Butler bag or purse I have made. I really liked the pattern.

Here is a inside view of the purse. It has two pockets.

Here is a close up of the coin purse I made. It's made with my embroidery machine.
I have a packet that makes all kinds of clutch purses and coin purses.
(I don't know why this picture keeps loading sideways.)

I sent a few little extras with her purse. Things everyone needs in there purse. Lotion,
Chap Stick, gum and a coin purse.
